Not a lot of projects in progress. School season has just ended. Only project still in progress is the Butterfly project.
It's a project setup by my third year animation teacher. Assignment was to find a lyric or poem and make an animation from it. I found an old poem in bundle bought by my friend Lola. The poem was written by Hendrik Tollens. Initially I planned the project to finish in 2 months. While progressing I kept on tweaking and improving the scene, too much. Resulting I only finished the first shot for the semester finals. After convincing the teacher I will keep working on the project I started working on the second shot when having time. This shot had a particle effect wich needed a lot of research and experiments. I'm still in this phase. Because of the particle effect I had to rebuild and repaint the wings of the butterfly. New mechanics were made to animate the opening of the cocoon. This animation is made in Maya 4.5 and rendered with the native render machine. Textures were paint with Painter 7 and Photoshop 7. To put everything together I used the composite software Digital Fusion from Eyeon. |
